Seasons table change for Spring

Another little shufty around of the table to reflect the beginnings of Spring. Reuben is full of cold and very needy at the moment but we still managed to get the table done , to show the beginnings of the season, I love Spring, the energy brimming just waiting to start afresh, the seeds all warming in their pots waiting to burst through the soil, and those unexpected sunny days with the light streaming through the windows and your need to step outside in it to bask in the golden rays only to realise that the sun has been very deceptive and its actually freezing ! We are all still getting over bugs in this house so we had a very quiet Imbolc , our first one, but nevertheless fun. We made Beeswax candles this morning and although Reu wasn't quite old enough for the rolling he enjoyed playing.

I then cooked a hearty lunch of Leek, potato, fennel and barley soup for our poorly tums , finished off with a breaded plait xxx Blessings to you all x

A weekend at my sisters..

I finally got up to see my lovely sister and the new baby and also my nephew of course ! I spent the entire weekend playing and cuddling, which is a pastime i could get used too, Jack is so good with his little sister and is constantly stroking her head and checking on her, Emily is so tiny with a shock of static hair on top of her head, she decided that this was the weekend she was going to smile which was amazing. I was a little under the weather so not quite up to bouncing around too much but it was still so lovely to spend some time with them , Distance is terrible when you have children , you miss out on so much xx

Its sunny in the garden today..

So we have been out and dug over our beds and got them ready to warm up for the Spring plantings. I can feel Spring in the air, its on it's way, and i am itching to get growing ! I have found a new website for seeds http://www.marshalls-seeds.co.uk/ and have ordered a few things to see how they are x Reu was very happy at the amount of wiggly worms we found who have been working very hard in the ground whilst we have hibernated indoors.

On the sewing machine..
